AML / KYC Policy
Asset Management International · Last updated: 8 September 2026
Asset Management International is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crime. This policy summarises the controls we apply and what we ask of our clients. It works alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Our commitment
Asset Management International maintains a risk-based anti-money-laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist-financing (CTF) programme aligned with the recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and applicable local regulations. It is overseen by a designated compliance officer and reviewed regularly.
2. Know Your Customer (KYC)
Before you can deposit, trade or withdraw, and periodically thereafter, we verify your identity. You may be asked to provide:
- full name, date of birth, nationality and residential address;
- a valid government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID or driving licence);
- proof of address issued within the last 3–6 months;
- a selfie or live check to confirm the ID belongs to you;
- information and documents on your source of funds and source of wealth;
- details of the payment instruments you intend to use.
We may use third-party providers to verify documents and to screen against sanctions, PEP and adverse-media lists.
3. Customer due diligence and ongoing monitoring
We apply standard due diligence to all clients and enhanced due diligence where the risk is higher — for example PEPs, clients in higher-risk jurisdictions, or unusual account activity. Account activity, transactions and trading patterns are monitored on an ongoing basis, and we may request updated information at any time.
4. Payments and third-party funds
- Deposits must come from a payment source held in your own name.
- Third-party deposits and withdrawals are not permitted.
- Withdrawals are, where possible, returned to the original funding source and currency.
- Cash and anonymous payment methods are not accepted.
5. Sanctions and restricted jurisdictions
We do not open or maintain accounts for individuals or entities subject to applicable sanctions, or for residents of jurisdictions where we do not offer services. Accounts found to be in breach may be restricted or closed, and funds may be frozen pending investigation as required by law.
6. Suspicious activity reporting
Where we identify activity that we know or suspect to be linked to money laundering, terrorist financing or other financial crime, we are legally required to file a report with the competent authority. We may be prohibited by law from informing you (“tipping off”), and we may be required to suspend or delay a transaction.
7. Record keeping
Identification documents, account records and transaction data are retained for at least the period required by applicable law — generally five to seven years after the end of the business relationship — and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Your obligations
- Provide accurate, current and complete information and documents when requested.
- Notify us promptly of any change to your name, address, nationality or tax residency.
- Use the account only for your own benefit and not on behalf of an undisclosed third party.
- Respond to due-diligence requests within the time we specify — account activity may be limited until you do.
9. Consequences of non-compliance
If you do not complete verification, provide false information, or if we are unable to satisfy our regulatory obligations, we may decline to open your account, suspend trading, withhold a withdrawal, or close your account and return verified funds to their source where permitted.
