Risk Disclosure
Asset Management International · Last updated: 8 September 2026
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage.
You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
1. Purpose of this notice
This notice is provided by Asset Management International to help you understand the nature of the risks involved in trading leveraged products so that you can make an informed decision. It cannot disclose every risk, and it is not investment advice or a recommendation.
2. Leverage and margin
CFDs are traded on margin: a relatively small deposit controls a much larger position. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses, so a small adverse move can produce a loss that is large relative to your deposit.
- You must maintain sufficient margin in your account at all times.
- If your margin level falls below the required threshold, some or all of your positions may be closed automatically (stop-out), potentially at a loss and without notice.
- Adding funds or reducing exposure may be necessary at short notice.
3. You can lose your entire investment
Because of leverage and market volatility you may lose all of the money you have deposited. Do not fund a trading account with money set aside for essential obligations, and be prepared to lose everything you put at risk.
4. Market volatility, gapping and slippage
Prices can move sharply, particularly around announcements, at market open or close, or during low liquidity. The market may “gap” — jump from one price to another without trading in between.
- Orders, including stop-loss orders, may be executed at a materially worse price than requested (slippage).
- A stop-loss order is not guaranteed and does not necessarily limit your loss to the intended amount.
- In fast markets, quotes and execution may be delayed.
5. Costs and overnight financing
Spreads, commissions and overnight financing (swap) charges reduce your returns and increase your losses. Positions held overnight are typically subject to a daily financing adjustment that can be significant over time. Currency conversions may apply.
6. Short positions
Selling short exposes you to a theoretically unlimited loss, because the price of the underlying instrument can rise without limit. Short positions may also incur borrowing costs and can be subject to forced buy-in.
7. Cryptocurrency instruments
Cryptocurrency markets are highly volatile, trade continuously, and can move dramatically outside traditional market hours. Liquidity can disappear quickly and price sources may diverge. Positions can be liquidated very rapidly.
8. Execution and technology risk
Trading is carried out electronically and depends on your device, your internet connection and the platform’s infrastructure and third-party data feeds. Outages, latency, errors in price data or software faults may prevent you from opening, modifying or closing a position when you want to. Asset Management International may cancel or adjust trades that resulted from a manifest error or a price-feed malfunction.
9. Counterparty and liquidity risk
When you trade a CFD you are trading with Asset Management International as counterparty, not on an exchange, and you rely on it to meet its obligations. Client funds are held separately from company funds, but this does not remove all risk. Some instruments may become illiquid or be suspended.
10. No advice, no guaranteed results
Research, analysis, news, signals and educational material are provided for information only and do not take account of your objectives or financial situation. Past performance and simulated or demo results are not a reliable indicator of future performance.
11. Suitability
Leveraged trading is not appropriate for everyone. Before trading you should assess your experience, financial resources, risk tolerance and objectives, and seek independent advice if you are in any doubt. If you do not fully understand the risks, do not trade.
